Customizing Menus


Overview

EazySites allows you to add, customize, and organize navigation items on your website. It makes site navigation intuitive by connecting users to the right pages, grouping related content, and maintaining a clear structure. This feature supports business goals by improving user experience, ensuring visitors easily find key information, and aligning navigation with organizational priorities.


Add Menu Items

  • Navigate to Site settings.

  • Select Menu settings.

  • Click Add Menu Item.

  • Choose a page from the list of published pages.

  • Click Save to apply.


Create Custom Menu Items

  • Select Add Menu Item.

  • Choose Create Custom Menu Item.

  • Enter a menu name.

  • Enter the link URL using a forward slash / followed by the page slug (example: /about).

  • Select Add Item.

  • Click Save to apply.


Add Submenu Items (Dropdowns)

  • Select Add Menu Item.

  • Choose Create Custom Menu Item.

  • Enter the menu name

  • Enter # as the Link URL for self-referencing items.

  • Select Add Item.

  • Within the new menu item, select Add Sub-menu.

  • Choose Create Custom Item.

  • Enter the submenu name.

  • Enter the link URL using a forward slash / followed by the page slug.

  • Select Add Item.

  • Use the same process to add other submenu items.

  • Click Save to apply.


Ways to Apply

Here are some examples of how to align navigation items with business goals:

  • Highlight key pages - Place links to core pages such as Products, Services, or Contact Us directly in the main navigation.

  • Organize resources - Use submenus to group related content, like case studies or knowledge base articles, for easier access.

  • Promote campaigns - Add custom items to temporarily highlight landing pages, promotions, or registrations without changing the core site structure.
